Unleashing American AI Dominance at the Edge
When we released our recent white paper, U.S. AI Dominance, we made the case that the best way to ensure continued U.S. and allied leadership in AI is to park high-density compute where there is readily available, cheap, and often stranded energy, with the ability to rapidly iterate on the design and relocate it as customer requirements and technology evolve. We described how modular data centers are also the best way to accelerate exports of American AI technology to outpace China in the global power competition. Leviathan, our new megawatt-scale member of the Galleon product line, turns that thesis into reality and accelerates our mission to bridge the digital divide and ensure that the world runs on the American AI stack.
Enter Leviathan: Rapidly Deployable, Megawatt-Scale AI Data Centers
Traditional data center projects often take years to build and are filled with permits, construction, and delays. Even after a project is complete, developers risk learning that they overbuilt and built the wrong things as state-of-the-art AI chips and cooling continue to advance. Traditional data centers are also notoriously difficult to refresh and impossible to relocate.
Leviathan changes the equation entirely:
• Megawatt scale GPU clusters packaged as an integrated stack of rugged modules • Liquid-cooled and energy-agnostic—flare gas, solar, nuclear, or grid tie-in—and the ability to run the latest-generation silicon • Weeks, not years, to first power-on, orchestrated through the turnkey Armada Edge Platform (AEP) • Scalable, with lower upfront cost—Galleons cost only a small fraction of the upfront capital relative to hyperscale data centers and enable scalability, flexibility, and deployment on tight timeframes as workloads grow • Fully mobile and relocatable, so compute can follow the next low-cost kilowatt hour, tap a new data source, or shift to a secondary market when fresh silicon drops into Tier 1 locations • Secure and compliant with data residency and sovereignty requirements by ensuring sensitive data doesn’t move from the site and enabling data processing in fully disconnected environments
Powered by AEP, Leviathan is the latest addition to our family of Galleon modular data centers. From suitcase-sized Beacon nodes for basic analytics and light inference to Leviathan for a plug-and-play AI factory, customers now have a form factor for every workload.
While hyperscalers are rapidly expanding, meeting today’s explosive AI demand requires more—our modular data centers deliver the critical capacity and flexibility needed to fill the gaps and keep pace with unprecedented growth.
Leviathan provides the modular capacity required to unlock distributed intelligence and bring advanced training and inference to the edge. This is crucial for bridging the digital divide.
We’re fortunate to work with partners who share this vision. Two standouts—Fidelis New Energy and Bakken Energy—have collaborated closely with our team on plans to integrate our technology into their operations. Their feedback underscores the real-world impact.
Partnering for Impact: Leveraging Distributed Energy to Beat China in the AI Arms Race
Fidelis New Energy is leveraging its unique access to land, power, and water in West Virginia to rapidly scale AI infrastructure and meet unprecedented demand for its GPU as a Service (GPUaaS) offering. With similar projects in the works in Louisiana and Denmark, Fidelis is moving fast to become a leading player in the global AI race.
“The global demand for AI training and inference is growing at an exponential rate,” said Daniel Shapiro, CEO of Fidelis New Energy. “Leviathan gives Fidelis additional speed and flexibility to deploy the latest AI infrastructure with the ability to rapidly scale and adapt to customer requirements. Combined with Fidelis’s unique land and energy assets and GPUaaS platform, we can offer a highly differentiated approach to sovereign AI infrastructure that is faster, cheaper, and more flexible than anything else in the market.”
Bakken Energy is a developer of power generation utilizing natural gas as a readily available, low-cost means of powering AI—including for energy companies as they look to leverage data at the edge to increase production.
“We have an immense amount of energy in the United States that is not fully utilized,” added Steve Lebow, CEO of Bakken Energy. “Leviathan gives us a secure, scalable way to launch AI factories quickly at the source of this underutilized energy without having to worry about many of the hurdles that come with building a traditional brick-and-mortar data center. North Dakota is an ideal place for Armada to deploy its Galleon products, including Leviathan, and take advantage of available low-cost power.”
What Comes Next
Today, we announced our $131 million strategic funding round. This capital will accelerate the rollout of new product lines and strengthen our core platform. Specifically, it enables:
- Scaling Leviathan Production – We plan to quickly ramp up Leviathan production to meet our customers' needs and enable us to be there with cutting-edge AI infrastructure anytime, anywhere.
- Continued Global Expansion – Armada already has secured customers and partners across North America, Europe, the Middle East, South America, Australia, and the Asia-Pacific region. We will continue to scale our global operations to ensure that all customers and partners can solve their hardest problems and take advantage of real-world AI.
- AEP Roadmap – We will continue to add high-value features to AEP and add world-class real-time software applications, AI agents, and cutting-edge connectivity and hardware solutions to our marketplace. AEP will continue to be the easiest way to manage distributed connected assets at the edge and deploy real-world AI. Atlas, our connected asset management product, will continue to scale with support for more assets and deeper NOC functionality. As the platform grows, Atlas becomes increasingly proactive—detecting and preventing issues before they impact operations.
In the age of AI, speed wins. Leviathan allows customers to pair their energy and data with the latest infrastructure at the edge—faster, cheaper, and more flexibly than ever.
